Winning is not Everything

Harry Rowe, is currently in Grade 3 at DPHS. He recently took part in the Go-karting National events in August and September. Harry achieved a 3rd place in August at iDube Raceway, KZN, and he came 10th in the recent event at Swartkops Raceway, Gauteng. More importantly though, before going into the finals he was lying 3rd. He left the pits to start his final race, and his clutch failed, so he had to stop on the side of the track whilst the rest of the field continued the final race. In true DPHS style, he got out his kart, took of his helmet and shouted encouragement and clapped for all the others in his race. He taught us a valuable lesson that winning is not everything. Congratulations Harry !
