It was a great start to the Durban Preparatory High School rugby season with fixtures against Umhlali Preparatory School. The excitement led to the final game, which was the 1st team playing against Umhlali 1st Team. The match saw waves from each teams as they attacked the advantage line. There was little to divide the teams at half time as the score was level. The second half saw DPHS scoring a try early on, but Umhlali came to to level the game again. With 3 min to go, DPHS scored the winning try with a final result of 17 -12 to DPHS.
