Our 2021 Mothers Exco Committee would like to invite all Mothers (or those persons who fill that role for a DPHS boy) to join us for the AGM which is to be held virtually on Wednesday evening 17 March 2021 @ 7pm. We are hoping that the time of the meeting and the fact that you can join virtually from home, will enable many more moms to be able to be included and to join the mothers committee for 2021. We will endevour to schedule Moms Com meetings at times to accommodate working moms’ schedules. Just to clarify – we don’t only need bakers and tea pourers to join the Mother’s Committee! The Mothers Committee is responsible for fundraisers, special projects to assist with improvement of the school facilities as well as assisting the school with co-ordinating catering etc at functions. This means that we welcome enthusiastic moms with various skill sets (organising/sourcing/technical expertise for projects). For example, one of the projects we want to do this year is to fundraise to replace the rickety spectator stands (which the boys enjoy “bouncing” on) with solid recycled composite plastic ones. If you join the committee you will receive communications of what the Moms Com needs are at particular points in time and you can respond if you are able to assist. We look forward to having many moms at the meeting next week Wednesday. Many hands make light work!
