KZN Nippers 2019

The SPAR Sola Suncare 2019 Lifesaving KZN Surf Nipper Championships hosted by Marine Surf Lifesaving Club at Addington Beach took place on the 26th and 27th January and saw the cream of the country’s junior lifesavers in action.

The event attracts athletes from eight different surf lifesaving clubs from the breadth of the provinces coast. The two days were well supported and despite the early rain on both days, the sea conditions were perfect.

Durban Preparatory High School achieved 30 individual medals from 19 competitors across the five different age groups, and we achieved 3 age group championships; u10-Elliot Springate, u12-Mitchell Garreau and u13-Luc ‘O Brien.

Now the preparation turns to South African Lifesaving Surf Nipper Championships, taking place in Port Elizabeth from the 24th – 30th March 2019. Wishing the DPHS boys all the best representing KZN.
