The General Tire Lifesaving South Africa National Club Championships took place at Kingsbeach in Port Elizabeth from the 24-30 March 2019. This event brings together 1 700 athletes from more than 40 clubs. These athletes compete in 528 events over seven days.
10 DPHS boys participated in this spectacular event, despite the challenging sea conditions and tough competitors, the results were outstanding.
A further congratulations to Luc ‘O Brien who won a gold medal for u13 individual Mali board, a gold in the team board relay, a silver in the u13 run/swim/run and a silver for the u13 iron Nipper. Luc was awarded the overall Victor Ludorum for u13 Lifesaving SA Champ.

Another star was Adrian Truter who obtained a gold in the u12 Board relay, a silver medal in the mixed u12 Taplin relay, a silver in the boys u12 individual run/swim/run and a bronze for his u12 surf swim.
