Chris Cubitt | Mr Zulu Memorial Assembly 2021

Today, as part of our Durban Preparatory High School tradition we celebrated Chris Cubitt Day. This year we paid tribute to our special staff member who we lost due to Covid, Mr Zulu. Due to Covid restrictions, the DPHS boys watched via livestreaming in their classrooms, while the Grade 7s gathered around the Media Quad. The four House Captains placed flowers into the pond in memory of all DPHS boys who were called to a place beyond this and the Vice House Captains laid a special tug ‘o war rope, for Mr Zulu. As per tradition, the assembly ended with the sounding of the Prep call.
