Coding at DPHS Reaches New Levels

The school was delighted to host the Sakhikamva Organisation led by Ms Fatima Jakoet ( who herself is a pilot) and her team. The organisation is a registered NGO who promote skills development in the area of coding and aerospace. Their mission is to ensure that learners are exposed to STEM. To this end Grade 3 and 4 IT and Design Technology boys were taught how to use apps that control a robotic vehicle and a miniature robot.
It was an exciting time for these learners to be able to utilize coding programmes. It is hoped that as we continue to uncover more coding programmes, the learners will develop a long term interest in this area of IT and Design and Technology.
